Businesses can choose from their catalog the products they want to see from their catalog and then customize the look of their shop with a cover image and accent colors. This means that any vendor, whatever their size or budget, can bring their business online and connect with customers wherever and whenever it is convenient for them.

People can search Facebook shops on a business’s Facebook page or Instagram profile, or search them through stories or advertisements. From there, you can browse the full collection, save the products you’re interested in and place an order – either on the business’s website or without leaving the app if the business enabled checkout in the US.
In Facebook shops, you will be able to message any business through WhatsApp, Messenger, or Instagram Direct, ask questions, get support, track delivery, and more just like when you are in a physical store and need to ask someone for help.
Instagram Shop: A New Place to Discover Products and Brands
Starting this summer in the US, Facebook launched the Instagram Shop, a new way to discover and shop for products you love on Instagram Explore. You can get inspired by @shop browse selections from your favorite brands and creators, filter by categories like Beauty and Home, and buy all you love in one place. And later this year, Facebook will add a new shop tab in the navigation bar, allowing you to access the Instagram shop in just one tap.
People have been using live video to showcase products for years, ranging from shoe shops to trying out new sneakers to beauty influencers trying on different lipsticks. Now, Facebook makes it easy to shop for products in real-time. Soon, vendors, brands, and manufacturers will be able to tag products from their Facebook shop or catalog before going live and those products will be shown below the video so that people can easily tap to learn more and buy. Facebook already starts testing with businesses on Facebook and Instagram and will roll it out more widely in the coming months.
Facebook is also working more closely with partners such as Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce to assist small businesses. These organizations provide powerful tools to help entrepreneurs start and run their businesses and move online. They will now help small businesses build and grow their Facebook shops and use our other commerce tools.
